think a word, live a word, write a word…
don’t write poetry… live life poetically and then write about life.
Driven by curiosity and built on purpose, this is where bold thinking meets thoughtful execution. Let’s create something meaningful together.

Snapshot of a nomadic existence. The great affair to move… to move again. I’m maxed out on gear on my person without a car. The transition is a pain is the ass… but new scenery is illuminating. I had planned to make my way to El Salvador, and then Nicaragua… but the laparotomy carnival ride in Texas will keep me grounded for awhile… so… I hop and skip around the EcoBici zone of Mexico City. Desde Nápoles to Roma Sur. Not a bad place to be held up… and it suits me… and I’m growing quite fond of some people in the immediate area. You don’t have to travel far for travel’s sake. Three kilometers and hauling 50 kilos up 5 flights of stairs just in time for the earthquake alarm to send me running back down 5 flights of stairs. And I shake off the dust of the day… standing in the middle of the street, looking into the sky… and waiting… maybe I’m waiting for it to fall… waiting… now breath.

Snapshot in Motion - Portrait of a Nomad
My life is bags, ruck sacks, suitcases… bring all you can carry and leave the rest behind. it’s a romantic verse of a life… but dusty and it takes a toll on the mind and body… there’s more freedom with shallow roots… but one will compromise much.
Soul meets the SolarPlex

we meet where we always meet
at the intersection of the clouds and the solar plex
we do what we do best
together
that is to harvest memories
some are bright
some are slight
but from an amber they burn
the sun burns
the lungs burn
the heart melts
and we burn, burn, burn…
together

Lost by the Sea
•
And alone
I find
is to be free
my desire
to be
alone
to be
free
to find
self
to be
lost
and never found…
by the sea

Dust and wind
The air is thick with oil
You can taste it on the tongue
The land of the pickup truck
And angry men
That hide their loneliness in clenched fists
of hate… in the name of god
Sweet words of love postered in all places…
in the name of the same god
Love with hate…
Much of life is a paradox
Oily rich men rule…
in the name of the same god
rolling through Texas… it’s not my favorite place to be… the physical trauma I endured in Laredo from an emergency surgery sets my vibe. I needed to pick up my car in San Antonio after moving out my life from Mexico City… I was on my way to Albuquerque… but wanted to visit Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico which of I’ve never seen… and the route takes me NorthWest through Midland, Texas… oil fields… the air is saturated with oil… you can smell it. You can taste it. the land is sparse. the people are dry. letters of gods love litter the place… but the men are cold and angry… violence and hate dominate the vibration. maybe they know nothing else… maybe its the oil on the brain… or the envy of the rich man.
•Can you hear the Stars?•

Listen to the stars... and when you hear them... the perfect moment appears. And there's no need for solitude. The planets align just so. Visceral light begins to glow in the lungs. Breath in... the air is heavy... it tastes sweet. The peripheral becomes a blur... it's slow motion inside the bubble of perception ... and it will slow even further. The second hand of the clock takes one step back. You are one with everything and everyone around you. Then all makes sense because nothing needs to make sense. All thoughts disappear.
Pause-reluctantly exhale. And now it's a memory. A perfect moment. And the stars will always have much to say.

"No matter where I am, whether in a little room full of thought, or in this endless universe of stars and mountains, it's all in my mind. There's no need for solitude. So love life for what it is, and form no preconceptions whatever in your mind."
— Jack Kerouac, Lonesome Traveler
Fleeting moments… they come… and then they are gone… forever…
there’s a quaint coffee shop in La Roma… I’m quite fond of my moments there. but we have new places, and new people, and old moments die a hero’s death… in vain but not forgotten.
Lost Bluebird
I found a bluebird… but she wasn’t blue… only her heart. One broken wing but she still could fly… she just chose not to. The weight of the past made it difficult to take off… I wasn’t sure if she knew she could release that weight and sore with ease. But if she did know… I don’t think she wanted to release the burden. She became attached to it. Loved to hate it… but didn’t feel complete without it. I think she liked that pain. Because pain is a feeling… and she wasn’t comfortable without…
And in the end… She reluctantly flies… only because the foundation below her has crumbled away.
