🇲🇽 - Jacaranda - Ultra-Electric-Blue - 03.20.2026
It’s March 20th… the last day of Mercury retrograde in Pisces… it’s safe to come out now. Did your ex show back up in your life??? 😬

The electric-blue of the jacaranda… it’s here… and as quickly as it arrives, it’s gone… like love… like life.
It’s one of eleven reasons I choose to rest my head in CDMX in the spring. March and April. The bloom of the jacaranda. And then it’s gone. May is too hot… so I will return to the State of New Mexico to empty my bodega… removing things from my life I do not use or do not serve me. They are just things. They’re here… and then they are gone… like love… like life.
If you want to kick through the fallen blooms of the jacaranda with me in the central colonias of Distrito Federal… just whistle… you know how to whistle, don’t you?

"Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness. Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place."
- Kurt Vonnegut
The reality is… I’m feeling the hardness and the bitterness… and I’m currently dishing out smaller and smaller amounts of compassion and kindness. There’s something out there about killing the ego… but I think we… or specifically me… need the ego to ride along… and it’s empathy that needs to be wrangled… and shoved deep in the front pocket, only to come out at select moments. Not so Buddhist like… but a working theory… because life is an unsolvable equation with many unknown variables and one constant (life ends). Though the brow is heavy… I still believe the world to be a beautiful place.
I do have set obligations to be in Albuquerque in May… so I will find my way from here to there shortly… and once I clear out my storage there… I spin the wheel… so I think. I wanted to be in the SW deserts in the winter… and although… I’ve been thinking about a Colorado visit… not in the snowy months. So much for that… I also need to visit Taos to gather some artwork, and say some hellos… which puts me awfully close to Colorado in early June. Sigh.
There are so many places I want to be… and so many people I want to see. Oh man… that sounds like a Pearl Jam song…
And that being said… I have a motorcyle in Denver to deal with… and a hand full of people I would love to see in the flesh… so… it appears it is inevitable that I return to Colorado this summer… and drive back to the West Coast from there. So… leave the lights on… because I’m still coming to your house if your turn off the lights and hide behind the sofa… I’ll know…
