My Colorado carā¦ that has New Mexico platesā¦ a FasTrak toll tag for San Franciscoā¦ and 2 separate FasTrak toll tags for Los Angelesā¦ is once again on a car boat in the State of Washingtonā¦ and will live on Whidbey Island for 30 days or one month, whichever comes first.
Iām watching two cats and a house that overlooks Puget Sound for two blokes that sailed off to the Orient for adventure. Iāve been on the island before but I havenāt explored much.
I have much to catch up onā¦ reading, writing, painting, Bloodborne Pathogens Certification for tattooingā¦ all kinds of fun thingsā¦ soā¦ some peace and quiet, nature, and large amounts of oxygen will keep the distractions to a minimum. Iām also waiting on my new passport so I canāt sneak off to Canada for maple syrup and hockeyā¦ or whatever those guys do up there.
I do know a few kids in the region so I wonāt go all āinsane in the membraneā and start having rich dialogues with birds and deer and Bigfootsā¦ cuz the humans here have something called the āfreeze.ā They look [at me] with this particular āover-the-shoulderā blank emotionless stareā¦ like I came from another planet. Planet Los Angelesā¦ where all the people have a multitude of STDs and are always trying to greet everyone with hugs and kisses and talking, always with the talkingā¦ and have a lack of understanding of personal spaceā¦ and will eat all of the food in sight including their dogās food.
Anyways, thatās exactly the way it isā¦ but Iāve brought my best flannel to keep toasty and possibly be allowed to sit at the adult table at this yearās MusselFest in Coupville.
And this; Iāve seen a few awesome things kicking around Planet Koolā¦ but todayā¦ one white doe. Auspicious day. Auspicious day indeed.
