No es necesario mostrar belleza a los ciegos, ni decir verdades a los sordos.Basta con no mentir al que te escucha, ni decepcionar al que confío en ti.Las palabras conquistan temporalmente, pero los hechos... esos si nos ganan. O nos pierden para siempre.

What a funny thing… our minds can be such a prison. And in the expanses of the infinite universe… it’s awfully insignificant. In five thousand million years the sun will begin to burn out… and all that has ever been on this earth means nothing. All collections of moments erased. We can free our minds. We can have peace. Because we only have this moment… the earth below our feet. We only have love. We only have each other…

It’s a 50 minute drive to Gran Stupa Bön Valle de Bravo… and the cost was more than I wanted to pay for this excursión. 800 pesos… and the taxis don’t even want to go that far. Plus, I’d need a taxi to wait or return… and in past I’ve always found my way home but I’m not in the mood to be stuck in the back woods today.

Second choice, Stupa de la Paz. Take a coletivo to Avandaro… and take a taxi from there… and have the driver wait for me while I walk mantra circles around the stupa until my kindness and compassion returns. And so I did…

It’s a lovely and peaceful place. Fresh air and surrounded by nature.

I did my circles… and returned… feeling peaceful… or maybe I’m tired. I will take a siesta, shower, and hit the town later for music, a michelada… y practicar mi español con las señoritas… see if my kindness and compassion has been returned to me.

I head back to the city tomorrow. We can meet up for that coffee we have been talking about.
