šŸ‡²šŸ‡½ World Cup - CDMX - 2026

La mirada de una mujer es un universo de emociones; a menudo se describe como el reflejo de su alma, capaz de transmitir una fuerza y una profundidad inigualables sin necesidad de palabras.

My beautiful Mexico national team jersey that was waiting for me in my SF mailbox… I ordered it sometime last October… with intentions of being around CDMX during the World Cup. I’m not that into soccer… but I was feeling supportive of the people and the country I was living in. šŸ‡²šŸ‡½šŸ’ššŸ¤ā¤ļø

Many things occurred to change that path… mostly… an emergency surgery in Texas in January… and the complications from that continue to plaque me. I’m in constant pain and discomfort… and I’m continuing to lose weight… and that has me… and my doctors concerned.

Unfortunately, it’s affected my quality of life and my activities… but I carry on. I managed to get moved out of Mexico- bought a new moto in El Paso-emptied my storage and moved my car, moto and things out of Albuquerque - cleared out my storage in Los Angeles… and all is moved into one place in Northern California…

Because of the impact from my health issues… it’s become the number one priority to focus on now. I’m not going back to Mexico until it’s resolved… and probably not going anywhere until it’s resolved. Just work, short adventures, beach, forest bathing, friends visits…

The Mexico jersey showed up as a size Large… and it’s way too big in my current thin state being. With the World Cup going on, it was easy to sell. There’s a large population of Mexican peoples and pochos that are into it… but they are the flakiest bunch when it comes to buying things. Maybe they show up—but most likely not… pain in the ass.

Now… I don’t have a good excuse to not do the office/lounge/home things… I have stacks of books to read, a few books to write, poems to publish, application for a Mexican ā€˜temporary residency visa’, work on my Spanish lessons, paint birds and bees… and just create… my mind had been taken over by hate and disgust… from the a person I should have never let enter my life… and now is the time to return to the source.

Simplicity, patience, compassion.

These three are your greatest treasures.

Simple in actions and thoughts, you return to the source of being.

Patient with both friends and enemies, you accord with the way things are.

Compassionate toward yourself, you reconcile all beings in the world.

- Lao Tzu

Time to focus on the good things in my life… the countless awesome experiences I’ve enjoyed adventuring around the world… the people I have met… and the happiness I have felt. And bring that with me… as I close my eyes at night… and wake with the possibilities of a great day of adventure before me… and the mists had all solemnly risen now, and the world lay spread before me…

ā€œWe changed again, and yet again, and it was now too late and too far to go back, and I went on. And the mists had all solemnly risen now, and the world lay spread before me.ā€

- Charles Dickens, Great Expectations
