🇲🇽 Las grutas de Tolantongo - 04.17.2026

I’ve been dying to go to this place… long before I even came to CDMX. I already made a plan in my mind for it to be the last adventure before going to the U.S. for this summer… but… by happenstance… Señorita Lau reached out and asked if I wanted to go. I guess it is meant to happen. So… we will go this coming week. I see her… and get hot springs… win and win!

Also, I’m trying to squeeze in one more trip to Toluca… to spend time with Luss… and to get another Mexico tattoo… but… I don’t know if I can swing it… I don’t know if I want to swing it… because I think I hate Toluca… es feo… and I’d probably be fine not ever seeing it again… but I am passing through on Sunday to get to Valle de Bravo… so there’s no getting out of that.

Hot springs are my thing… and there are many in Mexico… and Las Grutas de Tolantongo looks spectacular. I suppose I’ll can visit more when I return to CDMX in the autumn.

Lau can be an elusive gal… but she continues to track me down… or… maybe I’m the elusive one… and difficult to wrangle. I don’t know… but in November we met at Forum Buena Vista for beers… she doesn’t speak English… and doesn’t care about my bad Spanish… and we had a great time. So… we hang. For New Years we had made plans to go to Acapulco… but I picked up the super flu… or a 🇲🇽🧟‍♀️ curse… or both…
