4011G - Forty rhymes with Sporty. Eleven is my favorite number… and ā€œGā€ is for great!

It’s not that I hate Texas and want to get the placa off as soon as possible… but I haaaaaaaaaate Texas and want the placa off soon as possible!!!

It’s such a lovely feeling walking out of the Motor Vehicle Department with new documents and plates. It’s like winning a contest. Always, the people waiting inside look sad or mad… holding their head in their hands… or groaning… sighing… and throwing their arms about… shaking their fist in the direction of the god of their choice… and with good reason. You are always missing something you need and have to come back. I only had to come back twice. Oh… plus, having to drive to a third location to pick up chili pepper plates because they were out. 😠

When I first moved to New Mexico and switched my driver’s license and car registration from Colorado…. 9 times (true story)… 9 fucking times… and when I returned after the first 7 times, I received my license in the mail and it was missing my motorcycle endorsement. And when I went back for THEM to fix it… the wanted all of my documentation again… I’m like ā€œwhy?!? I have my license now!!!ā€

ā€œI’ll ask the managerā€ ā€œnope… we need all your documentation to give to a license.ā€

ā€œI have a license!!! You made a mistake and left off the endorsement!!ā€ 🤬

ā€œNext!!!ā€ šŸ˜

You can’t argue with them… they’ll dig in their heals and make you leave in shame and come back again… and again… and again…

chingada madres!

I have my Chili Pepper plates… I’m happy. My title of ownership will be mailed to the house in cat sitting at. I hope it comes before I leave here. It’s a problem with nomadic life… no stable mailing address… you need one for such things. I actually use my old Taos address as a physical address and San Francisco for mailings. Mexico… I couldn’t get mail.
